PEHS students get free heart screenings

More than 700 Plainfield East High School students were screened for potential heart problems by Young Hearts for Life or YH4L on November 12, 2024.

The free screening, designed to detect early signs of cardiac abnormalities, identified several students who needed additional medical evaluation.

District 202 and YH4L started these heart screenings in 2019 as part of the district’s commitment to student heart health. They are now offered bi-yearly across all four district high schools.
